Privacy policy

1. Local storage & access

Cronela keeps your profile, chapters, stories, drafts and original attachments in this app’s protected device storage. No remote account is connected. We do not upload your memories, send analytics about their contents or provide cloud synchronization. A device session is not an additional password lock.

2. Microphone & photographs

Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record. Audio is kept locally and is not automatically transcribed. The photo picker accesses only the items you choose. Camera permission is requested only when you take a profile photograph.

3. Sharing & exports

Sharing is always initiated by you. Text sharing does not include original attachments. Archive exports may include your original media when you select that option. Names already written in the story remain in the text even when people tags are excluded. Other apps and recipients control the copies you share with them.

4. Sessions & deletion

Closing a session keeps your archive, draft and preferences. Deleting the device account removes local personal data and app-owned media. Exported files, shared copies and original photographs outside the app are not removed. Device permission choices remain controlled by iOS.

5. Storage boundaries

There is no cloud backup or remote recovery. The archive folder is excluded from system cloud backup. Export a copy before changing devices, uninstalling Cronela or clearing local data. Exports can be read and kept externally; this edition does not include an import or restore function.
